§ 13-58. Civil penalties.

  • (a)

    The following civil penalties shall be imposed upon the owner of any motor vehicle found to be stopped, standing or parked in violation of an ordinance or state law as follows:

    (1)

    Parking as prohibited by section 13-49(1) ..... $25.00

    (2)

    At any location where prohibited by section 13-49(1) or (3) ..... 25.00

    (3)

    Parking in a space provided for certain disabled persons as prohibited by section 13-49(2) ..... 250.00

    (4)

    Failing to pay civil penalties within five (5) days of receipt of notice as specified in this section, per violation ..... 25.00

    (5)

    Parking as prohibited by any other section of this chapter ..... 25.00

    (b)

    The police department shall, pursuant to this section, send notice to the vehicle owner of any parking violation which is not paid within fifteen (15) days of its date of issuance.

    (c)

    In the event a parking violation occurs, the provisions of F.S. § 316.1967 pertaining to payment of applicable civil penalty for failing to make payment shall be utilized, as well as the provisions of F.S. § 320.03(3) pertaining to a refusal by the state department of highway and motor vehicles to renew the automobile registration if there are three (3) or more delinquent violations.
